Eat Well Play Hard

Eat Well Play Hard is a nutrition program that is sponsored by the city of New York Department of Health. The program supplies us with a nutritionist that comes to the school and works with the children on making healthy meals and snacks. It involves the teachers, children and parents. Lessons are taught to the children on a weekly basis and workshops are provided for the parents. It is an interesting and informative program. The children make healthy snacks that they are able to eat after each lesson. All food is provided free of charge.

Last year Lexington Children’s Center was presented with a Certificate of Recognition For a Strong Commitment to their families Health and participation in Eat Well Play Hard in Child Care Settings.
